Villa Park a flagship event venue for flourishing Birmingham
Birmingham is a changing place - there is more investment and development in the city than anywhere else in the UK outside of London - and Villa Park is a top venue.
Marketing Birmingham's More campaign aims to celebrate everything good about our fair city.
2015 is a year of celebration, to relish in all that is great about our city as well as to celebrate new developments and landmarks - and welcome some world-class events, bringing people from around the world to experience for themselves all that Birmingham has to offer.
The second city has been voted the most popular destination outside London for meetings, conferences and events for five successive years by the annual British Meetings & Events Industry Survey.
Renowned for its culture, shopping and top-class venues, Birmingham attracted more international visits last year than ever before according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
It also boasts the UK's third largest airport outside London and the UK's seventh largest overall which currently serves 143 direct scheduled and charter routes, including cities in Europe, North America and Asia, and offers an additional 279 possible connections worldwide.
The Barclays Premier League season may be entering its closing stages but B6 will continue to host elite sports events throughout the summer with Rugby World Cup 2015 matches taking place.
What's more, we host around 600 non-matchday events per year attended by in excess of 100,000 guests.
And the club's venue sales manager Nicole Evans believes Villa Park and the city of Birmingham share a symbiotic relationship.
She said: "Our non-matchday business has seen growth over the past two years and therefore is bringing more work opportunities to the local community.
"At Villa Park, we're fortunate to have easy access routes - direct motorway links and fantastic public transport infrastructure plus 100s of free car parking spaces on-site.
"Equally, we've won awards for catering, hospitality and sustainability.
"The city of Birmingham is a vibrant city and has a fantastic central location, which makes it the perfect city to stage local and national events.
"It has a wealth of restaurants, bars, hotels and leisure venues, which allows delegates to enjoy everything the city has to offer.
"The club is very passionate about sustainability and works closely with the local Birmingham and West Midlands community.
"Examples of how we make a difference include our Restaurant VMF project (a training restaurant where apprentices both prepare and serve the food) and our allotment project, which is located less than half a mile from Villa Park and run by the Roots and Renewal Foundation, which gives opportunities to young adults to work and tend the allotment."
